Fun with Cocoa …

The past few days I’ve had quite a bit of fun dealing with some of the “features” of Cocoa. It’s a great framework, but it has quite a few inconsistencies which can make it a bear to work with.

In any event, scheduled transactions are progressing nicely. I’ve attached a screenshot to indicate the type of functionality that will be available. Scheduled transactions are in a separate window (similiar to Categories, Payees and Rules). I’ve gone back and forth quite a bit on whether to incorporate them into the main window (single window interface) or keep them separate. I have a number of reasons for keeping them separate … I’ll get into that in another entry some day.

This window could change a bit between now and the official release, but the overall concept is in place.
